BRAIN MONITORING. Right at Home.

An In-Home Video EEG is a portable brain-wave test that continuously records your brain activity while you go about your normal routine at home. Your study includes both EEG recording and video monitoring, helping your physician better understand what is happening in your brain during symptoms, seizures, or other neurological events.

Unlike a routine EEG, which captures only a brief period of brain activity, extended monitoring provides a more complete picture of how your brain functions over time.

Why Longer Monitoring Matters

Seizures and abnormal brain activity don't always happen during a short office-based EEG. By recording brain activity over an extended period, an In-Home Video EEG increases the opportunity to capture neurological events as well as abnormal activity that may occur between events.

Extended monitoring may help:

  • Capture events missed during routine testing

  • Correlate symptoms with brain activity

  • Improve diagnostic accuracy

  • Better identify where seizures begin, known as the seizure focus

  • Guide personalized treatment decisions

  • Reduce unnecessary hospital admissions

Comfortable. Portable. Supported.

In-Home Video EEG allows you to complete extended monitoring without an overnight hospital stay. Once your equipment is set up, you return home with a portable recorder and continue most of your normal activities.

During your study, you can:

  • Sleep in your own bed

  • Stay with your family

  • Continue most normal daily activities

  • Have your study remotely monitored 24/7

  • Contact our team if you need assistance

Monitoring during sleep can also provide important information that may help your physician better understand your brain activity.
