In-Home Video EEG Studies
An In-Home EEG is a portable brain-wave test that records electrical activity over several days as patients go about their normal routines at home. Unlike a routine EEG, prolonged monitoring provides a more complete picture of brain activity over time. In addition to increasing the likelihood of capturing a seizure or other neurological event, it can detect abnormal brain activity betweenevents, even when no symptoms are present. This additional information helps physicians make a more accurate diagnosis and develop the most appropriate treatment plan.
